Features of the Report

LOTTE E&C has been publishing the Sustainability Report every year since 2013 as a means to disclose transparently the company’s sustainable management activities and performance results to its stakeholders. This report covers the linkage between LOTTE E&C’s strategies and sustainability management as well as its activities based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and thus reflects the commitment and endeavor of LOTTE E&C, as a corporate citizen, to grow together with the community.

Reporting Period and Scope

This report covers financial and non-financial activities and performance from January 1 to December 31, 2016. On some material issues, information prior to 2016 and up to August 2017 has been included for the readers’ better understanding. Regarding quantitative data, performance over the past three years is reported for comparison purposes. As for the scope, this report covers our 231 domestic sites including the head office and the Construction Management (CM) Division. Activities in overseas sites have also been included for some major data. There has not been any significant changes to the size and structure of the organization in 2016, and all modifications to the reported contents have been specified with notes on the relevant page.

Reporting Standards

This report has been prepared in accordance with the Core Option suggested by the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) G4 guidelines. The issues reported herein have been selected based on materiality tests performed with the stakeholders, and some major issues on global industry trends have also been selected and included.

Reporting Assurance

This report was assured independently by a third-party entity to ensure the level of credibility and reliability. The related information on reporting assurance is described in pages 101-102 in this report.

Features of the Report

LOTTE E&C has been publishing the Sustainability Report every year since 2013 as a means to disclose transparently the company's sustainable management activities and performance results to its stakeholders.
Strategies, goals and performance in six key areas of sustainable management are reported along with LOTTE E&C’s major business areas. Major issues devised from materiality test are also included to offer more detailed information to stakeholders.

Reporting Period and Scope

This report elaborates on the performance of the past three years for stakeholders to identify the trends in the quantitative performance. Some major agenda or significant activities and performance are included in 2016 data. This report covers our 231 domestic sites including the company headquarters and construction management division, and overseas sites for major issues such as economic and social achievements. There were no significant changes in corporate scale, structure, equity ownership and supply chain throughout 2015, and consolidated affiliates were excluded from the report.

Reporting Standards

This report was written in accordance with the Core Option suggested by the GRI(Global Reporting Initiatives) G4 guidelines and we conducted materiality tests to decide on what to report. The data was generated based on the GRI G4 protocol. Unless otherwise prescribed in the protocol, the data was documented in accordance with the company’s management standards, and the documentation standards are indicated herein.

This report was assured independently by a third-party entity to ensure the level of credibility and reliability. The related information on reporting assurance is described in the assurance report (p.106~107).

This LOTTE E&C Sustainability Report is the company’s third report of its kind, covering the company’s sustainable management activities and performance throughout the year of 2014.
Strategies, goals and performance in six key areas of sustainable management are reported along with LOTTE E&C’s major business areas. Major issues devised from materiality test are also included to offer more detailed information to stakeholders.

About This Report

This LOTTE E&C Sustainability Report is the company’s second report of its kind after the first one of 2013. This report covers the company’s sustainable management activities and performance throughout the year of 2013. Strategies, goals and performance for six key areas of sustainable management are reported. A section of the ‘Special Issue’ is included to cover major issues considered critical by stakeholders based on the materiality test.

Reporting Period and Scope

This report elaborates on the performance of the past three years for stakeholders to identify the trends in the quantitative performance. Data for 2014 are included for some major agenda or significant activities and performance. This report covers our 197 domestic sites as well as Company Headquarters, Saerom Building and Wonhyo Building, and overseas sites for such major issues as safety and social contribution.

This report was prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.1 and ISO 26000.

The LOTTE E&C Sustainability Report adheres to the current Guidelines (G3.1) of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) including the CRE final version of the GRI Construction and Real Estate Sector Supplement(CRE). Conformity of the information provided with the requirement profiles has been checked by GRI G3.1 and the report was classified as Application Level A+.

Reporting Period and Scope

The Lotte E&C Sustainability Report 2013 is the company’s first report of its kind. This report covers the period from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 for sustainability and management activities. The report, where necessary for trend analysis, includes qualitative data from the past three years, from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2012 and various data includes activities and results after 2012. This report covers our 235 domestic sites as well as Company Headquarters.

This report was prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.1 and ISO 26000.
