LOTTE E&C has published a Sustainability Report every year since 2013 as a means of transparently disclosing its sustainability management activities and performance results to its stakeholders. This report links LOTTE E&C’s strategies to sustainability management strategies and covers activities in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), expressing the company’s commitment to and endeavors in support of growth with the local communities in which it operates as a corporate citizen.
This report covers the company’s financial and non-financial activities and performances from January 1 to December 31, 2021. For some material issues, information from prior years and more current information up to June 2022 has been included to aid the reader’s understanding. With regard to quantitative data, performance over the past three years is reported for comparison purposes. In terms of its scope, this report covers our major domestic sites, including the head office and the Construction Management (CM) Division. For some significant data, the activities of overseas sites have been included as well. There has been no significant change to the size and structure of the organization in 2021, and all modifications to the reported contents have been specified with notes on the relevant page.
This report has been prepared in accordance with the Core Option suggested by the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) Standards. Taking into consideration the guidelines of the Sustainability AccountingStandards Board (SASB), the report shares sustainability issues which may greatly influence the financial status of engineering and construction industry.
This report was independently verified by a third-party entity to ensure the level of credibility, reliability and completeness. In addition, Assurance Standard 1000 (AA 1000) has been reflected in preparing the report.

business areas. Major issues devised from materiality test are also included
to offer more detailed information to stakeholders.
This report elaborates on the performance of the past three years for stakeholders to identify the trends in the quantitative performance. Some major agenda or significant activities and performance are included in 2016 data. This report covers our 231 domestic sites including the company headquarters and construction management division, and overseas sites for major issues such as economic and social achievements. There were no significant changes in corporate scale, structure, equity ownership and supply chain throughout 2015, and consolidated affiliates were excluded from the report.
This report was written in accordance with the Core Option suggested by the GRI(Global Reporting Initiatives) G4 guidelines and we conducted materiality tests to decide on what to report. The data was generated based on the GRI G4 protocol. This LOTTE E&C Sustainability Report is the company’s second report of its kind after the first one of 2013. A section of the ‘Special Issue’ is included to cover major issues considered critical by stakeholders based on the materiality test.

Data for 2014 are included for some major agenda or significant activities and performance. This report covers our 197 domestic sites as well as Company Headquarters, Saerom Building and Wonhyo Building, and overseas sites for such major issues as safety and social contribution.

The Lotte E&C Sustainability Report 2013 is the company’s first report of its kind. This report covers the period from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 for sustainability and management activities. The report, where necessary for trend analysis, includes qualitative data from the past three years, from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2012 and various data includes activities and results after 2012. This report covers our 235 domestic sites as well as Company Headquarters.
